Host academy

The best host makes room.

Four short lessons for welcoming friends, setting up calls and keeping a relaxed free-play night moving.

0 of 4 lessons complete on this device. Progress is self-paced, not a qualification.

Lesson 01

Make the welcome easy

Agree on adult attendance, comfort needs and a finish time. Keep video optional and share the room link privately.

A guest wants the camera off. What fits River?

Lesson 02

Start with a setup check

Use River’s audio/video setup before the first deal. If playback is blocked, tap its resume control. Pause to help a guest reconnect.

Can a website health check prove everyone’s mic works?

Lesson 03

Teach between hands

Rehearse checks, calls and raises in practice. Explain a completed showdown without sharing another player’s hidden cards.

What should a public recap include?

Lesson 04

End with the next hello

Take breaks, respect opt-outs and finish on time. Ask permission before saving a memory or introducing two players.

Should joining one night automatically consent someone to a trial?

Put a real night together.

These downloadable kits are invitation and planning templates. To apply an actual club plan, open that club’s existing night-program controls in River. Downloads do not create a room, change settings or message anyone.
